ART CLASS & CAPSTONE PROJECT

CAPSTONE PROJECT:

Students will create a VISUAL CAMPAIGN to raise awareness in their own school communities about enviromental issues and recycling paper. Students will recreate a theater scenario and represent Wangari Maathai’s story using recicled paper and paperboard.

DAY 3
Presentation of the Project (15 MIN)
Distribution of tasks in teams of four members: each team will create an SCENARIO and and different CHARACTERS related to Wangari Maathai and her mission (7 teams). (15 MIN)
Paper collection Campaign in the High School. (20 MIN)

DAY 4
Students will define their stories and start creating their scenarios – each story should last 5 minutes minutes maximum (50 MIN)

DAY 5
Students will complete their scenarios (40 MIN) and start rehearsing (10 MIN).  

FINAL PRESENTATION The different stories can be presented individually interrupting and entering the classrooms at a few hours scheduled with the center, or organizing a Theater Session in the Assembly Hall.
